What Types Of Metals Can We Cut?
Men of Metal can cut any type of metal including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass in a range of thicknesses. We can make recommendations based on your project and provide advice on the best material for your application.
What’s The Maximum Metal Thickness?
We can cut up to a 1/2" thick steel using our high powered fiber laser machine. The majority of our laser cut parts fall within the range of 1/16” to 1/4”. If you have a specific application in mind we can recommend a certain thickness for your project. For example 16 gauge stainless steel is a great option for common projects including signs, kitchen sinks, or even fire pits.
Can I Supply The Metal?
Yes, you can supply the metal but its not always the easiest way. If you are local in central Florida you are welcome to supply material. We do not recommend shipping material as it can be costly. It is best to purchase material directly through Men of Metal as we have the best suppliers in the industry and a wide range of material options to select from.
What File Types Do You Accept?
We accept virtually all file types, however our software requires specific file types to be cut out. For ready to cut files we accept .AI, .DXF, .SVG. You are welcome to provide us with any viewable file type including .JPG/.JPEG, .PNG, .BMP, .GIF, .TIF, .PDF, .SVG, .PLT, .E. If you send us a file in a format that the laser software doesn't read our engineering team can convert to an acceptable file type.
How Fast Can I Receive My Laser Cut Parts?
As the Men of Metal we have the capabilities to instantly cut and produce parts for your project. As a full metal fabrication operation we have the means to cut and ship your parts in the same day you place your order. Expedited services are offered for a priority cost depending on the urgency. Without the need for priority, most orders are shipped within 3-5 business days with the exception of large product orders.
Does The Material Include Certifications?
Absolutely. Every sheet of metal is purchased with integrity to source the highest quality material for your project. From aluminum, to brass, and stainless steel, we work exclusively with American suppliers to offer the best in class pricing and quality. If you require certifications, please contact our team to acquire them. We offer mill certifications to ensure the authenticity of the material we work with everyday.
Does Men of Metal offer Prototyping?
Yes, we are always researching and developing parts for our clients and in house applications. If you are needing to prototype a part for a project, we are happy to work with you. With no minimum order quantity, Men of Metal make it easy to prototype and test your theory before pulling the trigger on a larger order.
My Design Is Propreitary, Can I Keep It Confidential?
Absolutely. You are the designer and we are a tool on your tool belt. Your ideas are safe with Men of Metal. We are happy to sign an NDA to work with you and protect confidentiality. For any file or project you do with The Men of Metal, the intellectual property remains with you. We have no ownership over your designs.
